When it comes to holding an elegant wedding reception or a wonderful party, there's nothing quite like the ambiance of a golf club filled with serene pines, willows and maples and offering wide open fairway vistas. And that's what we offer you at Ironwood Golf Club in Exeter. Since we built our million dollar clubhouse a few years ago, we've become a popular spot for celebrations and gatherings of all kinds -- anniversaries, birthday parties, retirement events, reunions, company and holiday celebrations, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners and much, much more. Our dining room with its expansive floor to ceiling windows is really the best event location for miles around and you can make it your very own for your special day.
Party and wedding planners choose Ironwood for its location, of course, but they also appreciate the warm and gracious service they get from our friendly staff, the delicious cuisine and great beverages. All you really need to provide for a successful event is the linens and decorations. We do everything else to ensure that your group has a wonderful time. We can handle up to 150 guests – 130 if you want your guests served at the table. We require a minimum of about 50. We allow music and dancing. We offer table service or buffets: anything from late lunch to an evening of hors d'oeuvres to a steak or roast beef dinner. You can have a cash or hosted bar. Generally, our prices run about $30 per person for food, extra for beverages. But we can customize a package to suit your event. Our experienced clubhouse staff can customize a plan that fits your lifestyle. It is possible to have your ceremony with us inside the clubhouse at no extra charge. Imagine the great photos you can take for your album using our course as the backdrop.
It can be difficult to schedule events here during our peak golfing season – June, July and August. But in fall when the course is alive with vibrant reds and golds, and in spring when the first green leaves are unfolding, you can hold elegant weddings and special parties. Even winter, when tiny lights festoon snow-covered trees, can make for a dazzling celebration time. Although we close our restaurant in the winter months, we do hold parties and weddings then. And although this is a great site for local residents to use, we are also conveniently located in easy driving distance from Stratford, London and Grand Bend, if your guests are coming from farther away.
